A critique of big history from a religious point of view was published in the Huffington Post a few days ago.  It is at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/universal-humanity-religious-particularity-and-scientific_us_58dc0cd4e4b0fa4c09598560.

The piece is entitled, "Universal Humanity, Religious Particularity, and Scientific Reductionism," written by Leona Foxx, who is identified as a "Pastor and CIA Operative."  The author writes of herself, "For you who do not regularly read my blog, I am a fictional character in the thriller, For God and Country. I am a former CIA operative currently serving as a Lutheran pastor on the south side of Chicago. My doctorate from Michigan State University is in astrobiology and I give special attention to Society, Science, and Spirit."
